Your apartment is furnished and includes a well equipped kitchen with full size appliances, cookware and dishes. Linens, towels and everyday household essentials are also provided. With in building laundry and no broker, booking, administrative, resort or service fees, students and parents have far less to arrange and fewer separate expenses to manage.
Semester dates, research projects, internships and temporary university appointments do not always fit a traditional year long lease. J.E. month to month rental structure provides flexibility if plans change or a stay is extended. It allows renters to arrange temporary housing without committing to a full year when the timing depends on an academic program, employer or university schedule. That flexibility can be especially valuable when the exact length of the stay is not yet known.

Will I have a private apartment, or is the housing rented by the room?
Every J.E. rental is a complete, private furnished apartment, not a room in a shared unit. Studio, one bedroom and two bedroom apartments are available according to the renter needs and apartment availability. Each apartment has its own kitchen, bathroom and living space, providing room to study, prepare meals, relax and maintain a comfortable daily routine. Renters are not assigned roommates or required to share their apartment with unrelated occupants.
What support is available when a student is living away from home?
The same Rental Manager remains the renter local point of contact from the first conversation through the end of the stay. If a question arises or help is needed, the renter knows whom to contact. J.E. also has onsite management and maintenance personnel, backed by 24/7 emergency maintenance service. Family operated since 1968, J.E. owns and manages all 118 apartments in Quincy and Waltham.
What is included in one monthly housing payment?
One monthly housing payment includes electricity, air conditioning, complimentary Wi-Fi, cable television, parking for two vehicles and a complimentary local health club membership. Apartments also include furniture, linens, towels, a well equipped kitchen with full size appliances, cookware, dishes and everyday household essentials. In building laundry is available. With so much already included, renters have fewer services to arrange and fewer separate monthly expenses to manage.
Can I rent for a semester or another academic stay, and what happens if my dates change?
Yes. J.E. apartments can accommodate a semester, internship, graduate program, research project, visiting appointment or another college related stay. The standard minimum stay is six weeks, with exceptions considered according to the circumstances, requested dates and apartment availability. Apartments are rented on a month to month tenancy at will basis, so an exact departure date does not need to be known when the renter moves in. If academic plans or dates change, the stay can be adjusted. A 30 day written notice to vacate is required.

Compared with a typical off campus rental, J.E. makes the entire stay easier to arrange and manage. One conversation with a Rental Manager is enough to get started.
